6 Years: Students with O level/Grade 12 would be taking the HPFP (Health Professions Foundation Program) for 12 months and then admitted into the 5-year MBChB Program
5 Years: Students with advanced level or diploma/bachelor’s in science would get an exemption from the foundation program

Well, I joined the MBChB program with a duration of 6 years since I had O level/Grade 12 as you may call it. I went through the HPFP (Health Professions Foundation Program) for 12 months before advancing to MBChB. We also have students who have joined the 5 years program (Direct entry into Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) because they have advanced level or diploma/bachelor’s in science.
